Adoption Policy is as follows:
DEPOSITS
A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is required within 24 hours of purchase agreement to hold the joey you wish to adopt.
Payment method: cash, money order, or by credit card via PayPal at https://www.paypal.me/MelindaBaluk (if paying by PayPal, an additional 3% will be added to cover fees)
If the joey has not been paid for by the arranged date the deposit will be lost and the buyer will lose all rights to said joey which will be then available to others for adoption.
I reserve the right to cancel an adoption for any reason.
Under the circumstances that this takes place, I will provide a full refund of the deposit and any monies that have been paid.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
All joeys come with a 72 hour health guarantee.
In order to qualify for the health guarantee all conditions stated below must be met
and proper documentation of proof, from a vet, must be supplied.
A wellness check-up and a fecal float/smear are required within 72 hours of the joey
arriving to your home or sooner if ANY signs of illness are shown.
If there are any health related issues at the wellness check-up, that can be traced back to Diamond State Pets, we will cover the cost of the medications given at that time. Veterinarian reports must be provided to Diamond State Pets and payment will be made directly ONLY to the veterinarian.
Office visits or other treatments such as blood work, x-rays, etc. will be the new owners
responsibility unless previous written arrangements have been made.
If you sugar glider becomes ill within the first 72 hours you must contact me and your veterinarian. It is YOUR responsibility to watch for stress symptoms. Should any illness symptoms arise, purchaser is responsible for getting the glider to a veterinarian immediately.
This health guarantee does NOT cover:
Trauma or stress related illnesses, accidents, negligence or mistreatment of any kind.
Deaths or illness caused by transportation issues such as heat exhaustion,
dehydration or starvation.
Illness due to poor housing conditions or illnesses brought on by environmental temperatures, such as being too hot or cold or by drafts.
Illnesses due from sudden dietary changes.
In the case of a death of a sugar glider, within the 72 hour time frame, a full necropsy
and histopath from a veterinarian, experienced in sugar glider care, will be
required. If the cause of death is traced back to the fault of Diamond State Pets a
replacement or refund may be provided.
